November-april while the rest of the country battles cold, snowy conditions, phoenicians move outside for the best weather of the year. In fact, many residents call this "snowbird season," thanks to all the additional visitors in town. As a result, you will encounter the highest rates at hotels and golf courses. Visit at the beginning or end of this season if you want slightly lower rates and a bit warmer conditions (all the better to enjoy your time at the pool). And book your accommodations two to three months earlier to avoid the highest prices. Beware of an increase in lodging and airfare rates toward the end of february through march, when the combination of spring break and spring training cause an influx in crowds and prices.
Hondula was born and raised in new jersey, about 25 miles inland from the atlantic shore, and says his interest in weather started before he could remember. Hurricane floyd came through new jersey in 1999 when he was 14. “i very specifically remember being out with my parents vhs camcorder trying to document how fast the water was flowing in the flooded creek near where we lived,” he said. He followed his interest at bridgewater-raritan high school in somerset county, where he served as one of their “on-air tv meteorologists,” doing a few broadcasts a week for the school.
I love the news coverage via abc15, but i get so tired of watching ads if i want to listen to a story rather than reading. But what really chaps my hide, is waiting thru the adds to get the “story” and it’s just crappy music with captions added. Now why in the world wound anyone want to watch an add and read it any way, set to music. It’s stupid!! my last rant is, why don’t you call it phoenix 15? for all of arizona residents who count on news about arizona, we get precious little about any thing else in the news about the other cities in this state.

Phoenix — a picture of camelback mountain would have been the easy route to take. Or maybe the glow of a panoramic sunset lighting up the west valley. Arizona has no shortage of beautiful sights from which to choose, but this task for the phoenix suns was meant to go much deeper. That’s the power of sports. They create moving stories and images that prompt changes in the community, expose a light on a societal problem or allow people to understand a message through the eyes of someone else. But can all of that be captured on a jersey? nike’s city edition uniforms, a campaign where all 30 nba teams created a new jersey design for the current season, challenged teams to find a unique idea that highlights its community or culture through basketball.

On our website, you will find a whole page that will tell you not only what to do in the grand canyon , but also includes tips on where to stay , a guide to the best hikes , and many suggestions on which tours to choose. We especially recommend going on a helicopter tour , which is perhaps the most fascinating way to visit the national park.
Just because the temps may reach 115 by mid afternoon does not necessarily mean that you have to skip the wonderful trails all summer long. Although intense adventures like camelback mountain and pinnacle peak are better suited for the cooler winter months, you can still enjoy a variety of short trails at south mountain park, mesa’s usery mountain park , and scottsdale mcdowell sonoran preserve. All of these quiet desert oasis destinations offer an interesting mix of both easy and advanced trails. If you get up early enough, the temps won’t be too brutal. However, you still need to keep it very short – do not hike more than a few miles and do not set out any later than 6am or so.
Beloved among birders, the 300-acre ramsey canyon preserve is teeming with foliage, nesting sites, and feathered crooners. The peak time for bird songs and breeding is may to july. The canyon owes its incredible biodiversity to southeastern arizona’s “ sky islands ,” isolated mountains serving as stepping stones between mexico’s subtropical sierra madre and the temperate rocky mountains. Learn about the science and history of the preserve on a guided walk (offered march to november).

The south rim offers the quintessential grand canyon experience, including guided burro rides, paved paths, luxury hotels, savory restaurants, and a terrifying glass skywalk. It’s also easy to access from major cities, making it a great road trip from phoenix and los angeles.

Happily, i found a variety of unexpected experiences that made my three-day winter escape memorable.

The place looks like a spanish villa and the courtyards and fountains will make you feel like you’re in another world.

Cons the bbb is one of the greatest scams to have endured the great depression, the recession, and covid-19. How people continue to buy into the bbb being legit is beyond me. To be accredited, you pay them $$$ (monthly, quarterly, or yearly) based on how many employees you have- and in return, you get a couple of stickers saying you are accredited. As an employee, you really have to believe the benefits of what they offer businesses, and i found a moral issue with scaming small business owners. -lots of networking and happy hours -good sales experience -some free gifts from partners -room for growth -some managers are great -don't feel micromanaged and you can run your book of business how you want as long as you're doing your job and making quota -we found out that they are paying new hires fresh out of college with barely any experience at least $10k-$20k more in base pay than those of us who were hired a couple of years ago, who are only making $30k-$35k in base.
